Actually, I don’t get asked questions a lot, but this is pretty much the answers I’ll give to most questions.

Do any of the guys have girlfriends?

I do not know any intimate details about the boys’ lives. I probably know less than you do. Don’t ask me this type of question because I don’t know, and honestly I don’t care. It really doesn’t matter if they do or don’t.

Do the guys have siblings?

Why are fans called turtles?

Their band name was originally (for a very short period of time) Paradise Fears the Turtle. They soon dropped “the turtle”, and then in the summer of 2011, a clever PF fan blogger randomly called her followers turtles one night, and then a twitter war broke out. Turtles or Drop Outs, though it was a pretty unanimous vote to turtles. So, here we are, the Paradise Fears Turtles!

What does “dece” mean?

Basically, it’s an adjective. It’s kinda like “cool”, “rad”, “nice”. It doesn’t really have a definition. It’s just… you describe stuff with it…

Why is Michael called “Guns”?

On one of their first tours, the drummer of one of the other bands was giving everyone nicknames. He called Michael “machine guns”, because, despite how quiet Michael is, the drummer had a feeling Michael could snap at any given moment and kill them all. So, over time, the name whittled down to “Guns”. 

Who is Jade? Is she dating (insert name of band member)? 

Jade Van Kley is a very close friend of Paradise Fears. They all grew up together, and Jade runs some of the social media stuff for the band. No, she is not dating any of the guys, I promise. She also takes a lot of really incredible pictures of the guys. I know how much you want her pictures on your blog, but please, make sure that if you use her photos, you source them to her. Her tumblr is jade-vk. Memorize it.

Who is Tiffany? Is she dating (insert band member here)?

Tiffany Taylor is another good friend of the guys. She currently runs a lot of social media stuff for the guys. No, she is not dating any of the guys. Follow her tumblr and twitter, and learn more about her and her fantabulousness. 

How was Paradise Fears at your house?!?!

They’ve done several “Living Room Tours”. That means that as they traveled the country, promoting themselves while following the tours of popular bands, they would book private house shows for fans along the way. It served the double purpose of 1) having a personal experience with fans 2) having a place to eat and sleep every night. 

How can I get The Secret To Dropping Out?

You can’t get it legally anymore. They sold all the copies every made, and they aren’t making any more. Sorry… But you can always look around the internet for a download.

these are the PF days of the week. There was really nothing special to start it. It came about from one of the street teams, and it stuck. 

However, the guys decided to use these again, and so every Tuesday, they will upload a video on youtube for us to celebrate Turtle Tuesday.

What does “for days” mean? Where did it come from? etc.

Lucas and Cole, I think, came up with it and then the rest of the band picked up on it, and then the turtle nation picked up on it. So, it’s sort of an inside joke with the band, so that’s pretty cool. But basically it just means like a long time. like “laughing for days”. :)
